We used film footage to make an advert for Portland Cafe. This was a REALLY tricky lesson and we were superstars!

We used still images to make a pop video for What does the Fox Say by Yves.

It was a great lesson and we did really, really well!

This week we gathered the news and did some interviews.

Michael interview Mrs Holbrook about being Head of School. She was very good!

Week 7 - An introduction to video editing...

We learned how to put photos into Serif Movie Maker to make simple film.

We picked the best pictures from our Work Skills visit to the Metro Radio Arena and placed them on a timeline.

We also learned how to add transitions and titles.

Week 5 - Tips for Newscasters

We made a video to show how to be effective newscasters.

We used AFL techniques to say what we would change about our presenting then had another go the next week.

Week 4 - Metro Arena Work Skills Exhibition

On Thursday 28th September we went to the Work Skills Day at the Metro Arena. It was great!

We learned about different kinds of jobs such as construction:

Brandon even got to touch a snake!

We learned about the entertainment industry...

Which gave Jordan a chance to practice on the record decks!

We are going to make a report about our visit for our news program!

Week 3 Composite Videos

We made composite videos this week - that's videos with elements added!


Here we are having a lucky escape! Here we are getting a shock!

Later, we will make our own composite videos using our own pictures and effects!

The Media Group 2014 - 2015

Here are the new media group! We took photos of eachother using iPads, aren't we cool?

We then manipulated our media to make ourselves look like Space Aliens!

Then we experimented with filters and animations to make our photos look amaing!

We are every excited about our new subject!

B-Movie Posters

We have been learning about composite images. We learned how to cut ourselves out using pixlr.com and put ourselves into scary movie posters!

Composite Pictures

Super Luuuuuke! We have been learning about Composite Pictures, that is when two or more images are put together. They do this in film & TV and photography all the time. We got to practice making our own composite pictures, take a look!
